President John Bowen began his daily money management business in
2003, after a career as an economic/commercial officer in the US
Foreign Service. In addition to providing bookkeeping for small
businesses and non-profits, he also offers services for busy
professionals, including owners of small businesses.
Vice President Roberta Gosier was one of the founding members of
AADMM and has remained active while growing her business from one
person in 1991 to a staff of 12 full and part-time daily money
managers today. She serves a client base of older citizens in the
Washington DC and Maryland suburbs. Her background includes service
as a social worker for the DC Welfare Department and the American
Red Cross, as well as being assisted living coordinator in a
retirement community.
An AADMM Board member since 2004, Secretary Barbara Hance
established her company to provide personal and financial management
services to the elderly, the infirm, and people with special needs.
The company now has offices in Farmington and Avon, CT. She is also
author of the book “Don’t Buy Green Bananas -- A Humorous Journey
Through the Sometimes Puzzling World of Aging,” a memoir of her
years serving the senior and frail populations.
Treasurer Pamela Nielsen Brehler has been providing daily money
management services to her older adult client base for the last six
years. She is a Certified Senior Advisor with a background in
consumer banking. She helped establish the curriculum for AADMM
Business Basics Workshop for beginning Daily Money Managers and has
served as an instructor. She was previously employed in consumer
banking services.
The newest Board member, Carla Morelli, has more than 15 years of
experience in the personal and business finance arenas. For eight
years prior to forming FreyerMartin she provided management and
technical consulting. It was the need to hire a personal assistant
to manage her own day-to-day finances that led her to retire from
consulting and create her own business providing daily money
management services. The firm specializes in supporting clients such
as executives, highly mobile individuals, and busy professionals.
AADMM is a membership organization comprised of individuals and
businesses that provide daily money management services directly to
their own clients. The services meet a continuum of needs, from
organizing and keeping track of financial and medical insurance
papers, to assisting with check writing and maintaining bank
accounts. The AADMM is committed to promoting high standards of
client services provided by members, and to supporting the growth of
the daily money management industry, in numbers of providers, in
recognition of the field and in the quality of services provided.
