FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: July 9, 2007
Workshop in Providence Provides Basics of Daily Money Management
Business
The American Association of Daily Money Managers (AADMM) will hold a
“Daily Money Management Business Basics” workshop on Saturday, July
28 at the Sheraton Providence Airport Hotel, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00
p.m. This is the only time in 2007 when the workshop will be
presented in the northeastern United States and this popular session
regularly attracts more than 50 people interested in beginning a
daily money management career.
The workshop serves as an introduction for those who are considering
Daily Money Management as a career, as well as a refresher for
existing daily money managers (DMMs). It will explain the
professional work of DMMs, identify traits and skills which lead to
success in the profession, and help attendees learn to build a
client base and create a successful business. Specifics on operating
your own business, including fees, pricing and billing practices
will be discussed.
AADMM President John Bowen from Falls Church, VA, notes the workshop
regularly receives rave reviews, recalling that participants at the
most recent Chicago session said it was an “excellent foundation to
build this new business,” “hearing specific examples was very
helpful” and “the panel was very knowledgeable and very responsive
to questions.”
Faculty for the Providence workshop include:
- Gina Pirrone, CSA, GCP Financial LLC, Ho Ho Kus, New Jersey.
A member of the AADMM Board of Directors, she is a specialist in
personal financial organization and records management with over
20 years experience in accounting, operations and benefits
management. She founded GCP Financial in 2003.
- Patricia S. Morris, Esq., CFP, Personal Money Managers,
Newton, Massachusetts. She is a former attorney with a state
agency in Massachusetts and now spends most of her time
assisting individuals with bill paying services and financial
counseling. She is currently Secretary of the AADMM, as well as
an officer for the Geriatric Care Managers of New England.
- Susan M. Rogan, Clarity Claims Etcetera, Inc. Bristol, Rhode
Island. She founded her business in 1997 to provide daily money
management and medical claims assistance services to individual,
family, trust, and estate clients. She has spent more than 25
years solving health insurance claims problems and testified in
hearings for the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability
Act (HIPAA) signed into law in August of 1996.
The workshop is being offered in 2007 at a rate of $240 for
members of AADMM and $275 for non-members. Non-members that
subsequently join AADMM within a month of the workshop receive a $25
discount on the membership fee. The fee includes the course, a
complete training manual, a networking lunch, and refreshment
breaks. The hotel is conveniently located just minutes from the
Providence airport with free shuttle service available.
More detailed information on the program and registration material
can be found at AADMM’s website,
