FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: March 23, 2006
AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF DAILY MONEY MANAGERS TO OFFER WORKSHOP
IN CHICAGO
The American Association of Daily Money Managers (AADMM) will
sponsor a “Daily Money Management Business Basics” workshop on
Saturday, May 6 at the Four Points Sheraton - Chicago O'Hare, from
9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This is just the second time the introductory
workshop is being offered outside of AADMM’s annual meeting.
The workshop is designed both for those who are considering Daily
Money Management as a career, or for existing managers who want to
refresh their skills. It will explain the professional work of Daily
Money Managers, identify traits and skills which lead to success in
the profession, and help attendees learn to build a client base and
create a successful business. Specifics on operating your own
business, including fees, pricing and billing practices will be
discussed.
AADMM President Marcia Turner, Y.E.A., LLC, said the first workshop
held last month in North Carolina received rave reviews from
participants who appreciated having it offered independent of the
group’s annual meeting. Comments from evaluations included: “I felt
this was an excellent step-by-step overview,” and “I appreciated the
real life experiences that were shared.”
Faculty for the workshop include:
- John Bowen, Bookkeeping and Daily Money Management, Falls
Church, Virginia. He does bookkeeping for small businesses and
non-profits and provides DMM services for busy professionals
(including owners of small businesses). He began his first term
on the Board of AADMM in January.
- Gloria S. Froman, Let Me Get The Bill, Inc., Skokie,
Illinois. She has over 20 years experience in financial accounts
management, and established her practice to provide solutions
and the healthy maintenance of financial and paperwork
activities.
- Marcia Turner, Y.E.A., LLC, North Branford, Connecticut. She
established her daily money management business in 1996 after a
22-year career in retail bank management.
The workshop is being offered in 2006 only at a special
introductory cost of $200 for members of AADMM and $225 for
non-members. The fee includes the course, a complete training
manual, a networking lunch and refreshment breaks. The hotel is
conveniently located just minutes from O'Hare International Airport.
More detailed information on the program and registration material
can be found at AADMM’s website, www.AADMM.com. Registrations will
be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Deadline for the
special AADMM rate at the conference hotel is April 17.
